The above video shows Damon Olsen using the Ripple Fisher FSGT78XH on a GT around 32kg at Elusive Reef. The rod is being fished with 130lb Varivas GT max braid, and around 15kg of drag. As you can see, this is not really even testing this rod, and it is quite comfortable to use with these type of drag settings. This fish was caught on a Nomad Cubera popper with a head rigged hook. The 78XH rod is ideal for casting big poppers up to 220 grams at very large GTs. We found that this rod works a 150gram cubera popper effortlessly, just the smallest movement of the rod tip makes the popper bloop perfectly every time.
