Dingo Brings the Vibe to the West Palm Beach Fishing Club
It was standing room only at the West Palm Beach Fishing Club when Captain Jarad “Dingo” Boshammer took the stage to talk about one of the most exciting developments in modern lure fishing, the Nomad Vertrex Vibe. Invited by club legend Tom “Buzz” Bzura, Dingo shared his passion for inshore lure fishing and explained why the Vertrex has anglers everywhere buzzing.
Dingo’s background speaks for itself, a licensed captain for 25 years (and still only 40), he’s fished across 20 countries, targeting everything from mountain-stream trout on dry flies to grander marlin offshore. But what truly drives him is the challenge of catching fish on artificials and unlocking new ways to fool predators that “don’t want to be caught.”
That’s where the Vertrex Vibe comes in, a lure that can be fished effectively in just about any water depth, from 2 feet to over 200+ feet, and that triggers bites on both the lift and the fall.
“The natural vibration of the Vertrex pulls fish in, and the fall triggers the strike,” Dingo explained.

Does it work in freshwater?
Definitely. It’s caught nearly every freshwater species you can think of, even ones that rarely eat lures.
How far can it cast?
A long way! The internal weighting makes it cast like a bullet.
Can it be modified for snaggy bottom?
Yes! Dingo shared a clever trick: remove the trebles, rotate the tow-point eyelet 90 degrees, and feed the leader through to tie a single treble directly. This “line-through” rig keeps you fishing snag-free while ensuring solid hook-ups.
Does it catch Snapper and Grouper?
Absolutely, the Vertrex works wonders on all reef species.
Can it be vertically jigged?
Yes, just lift it off the bottom and let it fall naturally most bites come on the drop.
Is it durable?
You bet. Dingo told of catching over a dozen 12–19lb Bluefish and a 38lb Striped Bass on the same lure in one session.
