In a seemingly unlimited amount of new products in 2022, Nomad Design keeps its foot on the accelerator and introduces a new line of Inshore Baits. Based on two existing Offshore families and one brand new design, these new inshore lures help round out Nomad’s Saltwater Hardbaits.
Having evolved from the offshore lineup, Nomad’s DNA is brightly visible in the Madscad and Maverick range featuring the Patented Autotune System. This System imparts a freedom of movement when worked unlike any angler or fish has ever seen. The third family Shikari, meaning big game hunter, is a thin profile plastic minnow with a more traditional look.
Far smaller than it’s offshore brother, the Madscad is a nice little twitch bait available in 3 sizes and a variety of colors. The 2-1/2" & 3", available in both a slow sink and suspending model, and the larger 90mm available only in slow sink.
The Maverick is hard to describe and even harder to categorize. It can be popped, swam, jerked and slow trolled. Available only in 3-1/2" , this lure’s crazy action will show fish action they have never seen with the stock BKK hooks finishing the job. The Maverick will be sure to attract anglers looking for something unique and effective.
Lastly the Shikari, available in a 5-3/4" and 3-3/4", respectively looks like many other plastic swimmers on the market - however looks can be deceiving. The 5-3/4" sports through wired construction together with much heavier terminal tackle than any of its competitors and the 3-3/4" has no peer in a plastic swimmer of this size with so much toughness.
In a season being dominated by new baits and high performing legacy baits, one should be sure not to overlook the small but mighty inshore launch this Spring. You can see them explained and worked on our Nomad Design Youtube Channel as well as on our Facebook and Instagram Pages and can order at your local Nomad dealer or through the website.
