Nomad Design DTX HD (Heavy Duty)
In the relentless pursuit to create the world’s #1 trolling lure, the iconic DTX Minnow has undergone continuous refinement. But no evolution has been more significant than the new DTX Heavy Duty (HD) series, a complete reengineering designed to handle the most brutal conditions and biggest fish on the planet.
What 'Heavy Duty' Really Means
When you’re targeting giants, your lure becomes the weakest link unless it’s built differently. The DTX HD starts with premium Japanese Heavy Duty ABS material, selected for superior strength and density. This is paired with Nomad’s proprietary Diamond Armour internal structure, increasing pressure resistance and impact durability far beyond standard hardbaits.
Every HD lure also features thicker internal walls and improved ultrasonic welds for maximum integrity under load. Inside, the revolutionary Matrix Metal Plate System sets a new industry benchmark, a stainless-steel skeleton integrated into the lure’s body mold. Small precision holes allow the molded plastic to weave through the plate, locking it into place for unmatched structural strength.

The DTX HD is fully connected from tow point to tail, ensuring maximum pulling power and durability. Its Hydro Speed eyelet design allows extreme trolling speeds without losing balance or action. Combined with Nomad’s Patented Autotune™ tow point and bib system, the lure swims straight and true every time, no matter how many bites it endures.
To validate the DTX HD’s durability, Nomad Design invested in a Depth Simulator Pressure Machine, a first for any lure brand. The results? The DTX HD withstands over 400+ PSI (300m depth) for one full minute of continuous testing, setting a new global standard for lure construction and reliability.

Innovation is part of the Nomad DNA, pushing design boundaries, redefining durability, and delivering products that outperform expectations. The DTX Minnow Heavy Duty is proof of that commitment, a lure born from relentless testing, cutting-edge materials, and real-world experience in the harshest fishing environments on earth.
