Nomad at The Progressive Edison Saltwater Show
March 18-20 Raritan New Jersey.
As usual, the Edison Show in Central New Jersey delivered on excitement! As with the RISAA on the preceding weekend, this was the first time since Covid many good friends and fellow Nomads were able to see each other in a long time. It was quite the homecoming with crowds piling through the doors to the delight of hundreds of Vendors and Show Organizers.
Due to the launch of new product lines, we invested in a larger booth to be able to set up a separate rigging table and it paid off. More space allowed us to host Pros Booth Captain Darren Dorris and the knowledgeable Keith Bolin as well as Dave Schunke from Fish Mavericks, who dropped in to torture our Sales Manager and assist with the endless line of anglers at the Rigging Station. Our Pat. Pending Slipstream Flying Fish was available for sale and all appropriate NJ/NY sizes sold out by day two. Capt Dorris and the staff showed hundreds of anglers different rigging methods for the Flying Fish, DTX Minnows, and MadMacs.
The Vertrex Vibe got lots of interest, especially from anglers preparing to fish the Raritan Bay for Striper this Spring. Kayakers immediately took to the through-wired, soft plastic Vibe and we wondered if we made enough. If you need information on Vibing hit up our YouTube channel ‘Nomad Vibe Tribe’.
Mike Caruso from The Fisherman brought Jim Hutchinson by to interview us about our new lures ‘perfect for the Northeast’, the Shikari 145 plastic minnow and DTX 145 trolling minnow. Shikari 145, with its tough through wire design, will be a big hit with surfcasters who like that ‘Bomber’ style lure.
This will be our last show for this season and we want to thank our Pro Staff and the attendees for making the return to shows a true pleasure. If you have any questions always feel free to contact us on our socials or our new website www.nomadtackle.com
