Nomad at The Progressive Edison Saltwater Show

The Edison Show once again delivered excitement and energy in true Northeast fashion! Following the RISAA event the weekend before, this was the first time since Covid that so many friends, fans, and fellow Nomads could reconnect and it felt like a homecoming. Crowds poured through the doors, to the delight of hundreds of vendors and show organizers.
With the launch of several new product lines, Nomad Design went bigger this year, literally. A larger booth gave us space to feature a dedicated Rigging Station, which quickly became one of the show’s main attractions. Captain Darren Dorris, Keith Bolin, and Dave Schunke from Fish Mavericks were on hand, sharing tips, rigging demos, and plenty of laughs (mostly at the expense of our Sales Manager).
Our Pat. Pending Slipstream Flying Fish was the star of the show all NJ/NY sizes sold out by day two! Capt. Dorris and the crew demonstrated rigging techniques for the Flying Fish, DTX Minnows, and Madmacs, helping anglers fine-tune their offshore setups.
The Vertrex Vibe also drew huge interest from local anglers preparing for the Raritan Bay Striper season. Kayak anglers especially loved the through-wired soft-body design, and we quickly realized we might not have brought enough!
We were also thrilled to welcome Mike Caruso and Jim Hutchinson from The Fisherman, who stopped by for an interview about our new Northeast-ready baits, the Shikari 145 plastic minnow and the DTX 145 trolling minnow. With its through-wire construction and tough build, the Shikari 145 is set to become a surfcasting favorite for anglers who love that classic “Bomber-style” action.
This event wrapped up our final show of the season, and we couldn’t be more grateful to our Pro Staff, partners, and everyone who stopped by the booth. Your enthusiasm and support made our return to the show circuit an absolute pleasure.
